28th May 2008 - early rain then mist/fog E1/2
Rarities
Finally the strong NE wind of the last few days dropped and a singing male Red-spotted Bluethroat was a surprise find at South Walney Nature Reserve this evening. Easily the bird of the spring so far, although generally elusive, it showed well on and off.
Breeding Birds
The first broods of Eiderlings are now starting to emerge.
