Spoonbill and Long-tailed Ducks

Rarities
The second Spoonbill of the spring put in a brief appearance late morning.
Offshore
Early morning observations (0615-0715) were highlighted by an unseasonal pair of Long-tailed Ducks heading into Morecambe Bay. Also seen were 110 Sandwich Tern, 40 Common Scoter, 35 Gannet, 30 Manx Shearwater, 5 Guillemot and a single Fulmar
Grounded Migrants
The Hooded Crow still remains but at least 3 Spotted Flycatcher and a single Chiffchaff were new in.
Diurnal Migration
A single House Martin flew through in the evening.
Butterflies
A further influx of Painted Ladies was noted.
