Migrants slow to a trickle

Rarities
The female Serin remained although it proved to be flighty and elusive.
Offshore
Another quiet day with just small numbers of Gannet, Common Scoter and Sandwich Tern logged.
Grounded Migrants
The Hooded Crow remains as passage slows to a trickle with just 26 Wheatear and 3 Willow Warbler logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
Another decrease saw just 24 Whimbrel logged, however flocks of passage waders along the western shore included 1000 Dunlin and 250 Knot.
Breeding Birds
Another increase in the Sedge Warbler population was evident, other records of territorial birds included 4 Grasshopper Warbler and an island record 14 Lesser Whitethroat. The first Lapwing chicks have hatched and Stonechats are now feeding first broods.
